A certain abyss sibling is known to have a much weaker will than their traveller sibling. Maybe 500 years of being worn down by everything will do that to you, but it's a possible explanation for their sudden shift after visiting verdofnir's speaking stone.

Great take on what could have happened in the cataclysm, basing it a little on faerun's netheril is cool in it's own way, even if this ISNT the story it makes me wish that you were right about this just because of how cool it is. I would love to think that Nibelung is the 8th, bearing the light element. This aligns with the theory that he may be the 3rd descender from which all the gnoses (all colors) came from. We know now from Skirk and Arlecchino that when living things die, they sometimes leave their bonds to the world as curses. Like Clervie who was a special case and left a sentient "curse" after departing.

Wow this is detective work! So far the most solid theory I have heard connecting the dots. What I find fascinating, is what people of Sumeru called Khaenrians... Like you mentioned, the name Khaenriah in Arabic means Betrayer of the Winds, but the people of Sumeru called them "Dahri" which could means atheists, but specifically Dahr means ithe infinite stretch of time, or time immemorial... And a Dahri only believe in time as the cause of creation not gods. So when you said Vedrfolnir holds a twisted reverence for Istaroth, it makes sense, and if time is the only god you acknowledge, being the "wind witherer" definitely makes you a sinner.

im pretty convinced that pierro is one of the sinners. the story has been setting up these sinners for a while with motivations that seem to be ways to defy celestia. we have gold with her created beings, vedrfolnir with the abyss order, and surtalogi with skirk. and it definitely seems like the fatui have been working on their own plan collecting gnoses. and pierro is also a khanrieahn? it just fits too well

What an intricate, indepth, and analytical presentation with so much research and context (making those historic ties to latin, alchemic symbols, language, eye shapes, peacock nature in appearance and in teetering between loyalty and betrayl, etc) - my gosh what stunning efforts and theory!

My hypothesis is that Pierro is "The Wise" of the five sinners, it would make sense why after the fact he became "The Fool" or "Fatui"

I was discussing this with a friend and we wondered how Dainsleif resisted the temptation the sinners fell to, we came up with him maybe having a special part of Irminsul within him which is the "it" he referred to during the Chasm quest, explaining his title of bough keeper as he literally has the bough (or branch) within him. I'd love to hear any other ideas though as I'm sure there's more!

Man I still get shivers after watching her back story animation from before she was coming out and combined with her really really cool design sick gameplay loop and her very very sexy alluring voice, Arlechino is an interesting character...... And a lot of people have been calling her either daddy or mommy to which I'm the rare one and be like I'm not gonna call or any of those things even if in canon she's called father by the people that she's raising now. As far as I'm concerned she will always be Ayre, That sexy sounding brain wife from armored core 6 lol. But seriously she is a rather interesting character and I hope that if she does get a character quest that they don't decide to screw her up. Great analysis as always!

You missed a key detail. In Norse Myth, Surtalogi is name of Surtr's Sword and that sword "Surtalogi" was originally named the Twilight Sword as its the sword that would bring Ragnarokkr aka the "Twilight of the Gods". If Dainsleif represents the Twilight Sword aka Surtalogi in Genshin then Khaenri'ah represents Surtr and just like how Surtr was destined to destroy Asgard using Surtalogi, Khaenri'ah was destined to destroy Celestia using Dainsleif. This is why Lumine says that he failed to protect the people of Khaenri'ah because he defiedhis Fate to bring Ragnarokkr to Celestia (Also I would like to mention that both Dainsleif and Skirk use this so called Powers From Beyond which are basically Black Flames and these Black Flames have said to be the only powers that can turn Morax's Spears and Pillars Black.

Capitano is the "you take one look at the man and immediately want to follow him to the death" type of character. My 2nd most anticipated character is Varka, because i feel like he and Capitano are very similar in personality

I quit Genshin recently but oh my god I completely forgot about Captino and Columbina 😭😭 I might come back to get them but I really really hope they make a new model for characters with more muscle mass like Captino(?) than just using models like Tartaglia or Diluc cause obviously they don’t have the same body type. Here me out maybe Hu tao is also connected to Crimson moon dynasty, like her position as the 77th Director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, a branch of the Qixing with "ancient lineage", and her interest in collecting artifacts related to the "Crimson Moon dynasty"( talks about it in her story quest), ok imagine this If Hu Tao's predecessors are from the Crimson Moon dynasty managed to escape curse, like they made a "contract with Zhongli for protection", This could also add depth to Hu Tao's backstory ( like how she did not get to meet her grandfathers ghost) and the protection of a god like Zhongli.

Something to note, Fall of Faded Castle seems to be telling the story of Boethius not Remus. It says in Movement of an Ancient Chord that even children were being turned into golems at that time, which is sure to attract some attention. I don't think that the connections that Arlecchino or her ?past life? has to Fontaine are done being explored. We have only reached the tip of the iceberg since creating a realm of consciousness like she can seems to be an extremely divine power.

This is awesome!! Arlecchino's lore is really cool. I'm hoping for a Part 2 of her story quest, or for her to have a major moment in an Interlude quest. The Crimson Moon dynasty is fascinating, but unfortunately most of the Khaenri'ah we know of concerns the Eclipse dynasty. It's also interesting that Poe's "Masque of the Red Death" is not the only literary work referenced in her talent profile. Nabokov's "Invitation to a Beheading" is also mentioned in her NA talents - and Nabokov's story has a lot of flag-raising parallels to Arlecchino's lore and the endgame.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it before but the pre-khaenriah civilization of sal vidagnir on it's fall also mentions some people wishing to live basically as khaenriah ended up living (without gods). The nail that hit in dragonspine seems to be suppressing the "warmth" of the scarlet stones. Durin's corpse was made with alchemy that we know was also in use during the crimson moon dynasty, also has the same stuff that was within the frostbearer tree: the scarlet quartz. (which I think like the ooze in the chasm being transformed abyssal energy) the quartz is possibly transformed crimson moon flame/energy. The fall of sal vidagnir could have been the start of the crimson moon dynasty of khaenriah. It could also have been the reason why sal vidagnir fell in the first place if they were experimenting with crimson moon alchemy.

So I have 3 harbingers already they all have different elements do you think they will give us a 4th that will be earth based? Do you think it would be him? It would be really nice to have a 4th to round out a team. Lastly would also be nice if since he's a captin HE gets a big buff for each harbingers in the party (like 25% starting from 25% for a total of 100% to double his damage) and help him solo bosses that would be very befitting would it not?
